Talk on Esha

Talking about Esha is our favourite thing to do. But listening to this chat made us realise that this conversation, these subjects - they are important.

Even if we live them every day, we need to talk about it.
Thank you, Sid Baliga, for taking the time to talk to us and helping us spread the word!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kqBBP1gFMBA

This was such a pleasure, and reiterated, for us, and hopefully, for the listeners, why the work of Esha is small, but not insignificant.

Food4Thought Foundation recognises Esha's efforts in promoting reading

When you get a call and the person on the other side says, "We have researched your work and we would like you to nominate yourself for this recognition", the first response is gratitude.

The entire process of nomination to the award ceremony was such a beautiful, positive experience. This is how awards and recognitions should be conducted. It is an honour to get this recognition.

You can see this event here: 3rd india reading olympiad 2021~Virtual Award Ceremony | Facebook

The event was conducted on January 23rd. We just waited to share our happiness. :)

Bloomberg Quint, October 2019

As you probably know, Esha is a 100%volunteer driven organisation.

Daanotsava 2019 - Why Volunteering is pure magic

On the occasion of Daanotsava, Bloomberg Quint carries a special story on why volunteerism is so core to the ethos of Esha.

In this story, the founder of Esha shares the reason why we believe so passionately in the power of volunteerism, and the magic that has been created by volunteers over the years. To each one of you - THIS!

Special thanks to Venkat Krishnan, the founder of Joy of Giving / Daanotsava, and the entire Bloomberg team. I know they worked late into the night on this story. Thank you so much!

Minutes after the story was live, we received congratulatory messages from friends who had seen it in the WhatsApp feed of Bloomberg Quint. I will upload that picture soon too.

It was a precious day for us. :)

Eenadu - a story about Esha

As a Hyderabadi, we grew up in awe of Eenadu - the leading Telugu paper. To be featured in Eenadu was, to our minds, the very pinnacle of success. So this story feels great! To be featured prominently over a page dedicated to women achievers.

Special Thanks to Raju, the journalist, who conducted this interview so well.

Sharing the story.

Times Now Independence Day special

"Building a Better India" - pretty much sums up how we feel about the library. The NEED and the passion to put knowledge in the hands of people who will benefit from it.

It doesn't matter how many times you have heard me talk about the library. The passion remains the same. I see pictures of our Outreach happening at various places - and the faces speak for themselves.

Tomorrow, at 4:30 p.m, catch the online library in the feature that talks about building a better India - Times Now - 4:30 p.m. - Building a Better India - Independence Day special. I love that name!
